Chilli Festival is held at Esplanade Reserve in Fremantle last weekend by Araluen Botanic Park Foundation. The event started at Araluen Botanic Park in 2003 which won a gold medal in 2007 and finalist in 2008 at Western Australia Tourism Awards. Due to the popularity of the festival and growing every year which has to shift to a bigger venue.

This year over 75 stall holders showcased a wide range of foods and products from fresh foods, herbs to chilli plants, pickles, chutneys, olives, cheese, chocolate, beer and wine. I have tasted canefire rum which produced by sugar cane, it was beautiful brewed and tasted. The festival was an opportunity for everyone to taste a variety sample foods before you buy.

The celebrity chef Dale Sniffen demonstrated his cooking skills to the audience and finally a wonderful Latin, Reggal and Jezz musics in the festival. It was a great fun day for chilli lovers and family outing.
