Polocrosse State Championship 2011

The Polocrosse Association State Championship 2011 held at the State Equestrian Centre, Brigadoon,Western Australia by Perth Polocrosse  Club. Polocrosse is a combination of polo, lacrosse and netball. A team consists of 6 players and divided into 2 sections of 3 who play alternative chukkas on the horseback. The player use a polo stick which attached with a squash racquet type head with a loose net to catch the sponger rubber ball and throw it from player to player until No 1 or Attack is in possession to score in the goal.

Vic Creations conducted photography workshop at Fremantle two weeks ago. We started from the Round House, Bathers Bay to Fremantle Port. Photographers learn about their camera’s functions and techniques that applied in location shoots.

Special guests & designers included Susan Langdon, Ali Charsma and Sheelagh Wright from over 20 countries in Perth last month at Parmelia Hilton Perth hotel. It was the third International conference of Fashion Incubators 2011. The event gave opportunity to emerging designers for global networking during the conference.

West meets East Culture at Claremont Showground, Perth

The event was organized by Linkar Wine to promote Western Australia wines to China and Asia countries at Wilkinson Gallery, Claremont Showground last weekend. There was attended a large capacity of guests included China Consul General Ms Wang Yiner who official launched the event, a renowned restaurateur Kate Lamont, wine correspondent Ray Jordon from the west Australian newspaper and representatives from local business and Associations.

At the same time, a range of Oriental art works, photography and porcelain exhibited by our local artists from the WA Oriental Culture and Art Association. Art and wines is part of our live, everyone has a great opportunity to test the top quality of Western Australia wines from 9 of the Great Southern wineries and viewed a unique demonstration of Chinese brush painting and Chinese calligraphy.

Highlight of Avon Descent 2011 at Bells Rapids

Tens of Thousands of spectators at the bank of both Avon and Swan rivers last weekend to watch this unique annual event in Western Australia, Avon Descent 2011 from Notham to Bayswater. One of the best vantage points for the annual Avon Descent was Bells Rapids, located in Brigadoon with 5.5 km unique circuit walk trail and its rushing waters in winter season which provided the spectators to see the competitors battled the rapids in spectacular actions.
